Ischia, Italy

The remnants of a fabulous meal shared on the island of Ischia. We sat down, and a little old Italian grandma came and gave one choice -what we wanted to drink. After that she simply brought us large steaming bowls of delicious lentil minestrone followed by a plate of freshly marinated and grilled sardines. We were a bit worried that she wouldn't stop feeding us, but she followed the fish with some simple but delicious melon. Mmmmmm!

Lucky! Eva that's probably the only thing the little old lady knew how to say in English.

LOL -Actually, the entire exchange took place in Italien -phrase-book Italien on our part, rapid-fire sylables and gestures on hers.

During the time you've been abroad Eva I've seen some great pictures you've taken but these two here are my favorite. I've been thinking about the table picture all day and am considering printing it to put in my new kitchen in GA. The other of you and Dustin is beautiful. You both look so natural and happy. It reminds me of the beautiful times I share with my wonderful husband. Love you sis.
