Poitiers, France Two

What is France without coffee? That's some yummy Noble coffee in a French garden...

Fresh Cup Magazine

Cheers! The magazine is out! I don't have one in my hot little hands yet, but I'm hoping for one soon! If anyone is interested in purchasing a copy, you can do that at:
(If you are a parent or a grandparent, don't worry about purchasing :)

Also... I promise I will put up new pictures soon! I am in the process of finishing my capstone project in French, and I'm not allowed to take pictures till I'm done (getting back to pictures is my reward from myself for finishing). Look for something new in about a week and  a half.

Peace ~Eva

I've added two b&w versions of some older posts; if you click on the "Noble" label to the left, you will find the color versions...

Noble Five

Some construction action at the cafe circa December...

Caleb stickers bags in the cold garage back in December.

Another early construction picture, taken before the roasting room was finished.

Noble Four

Jared Rennie records roasting details, entering data on the myriads of variables associated with coffee roasting.

Open soon... but when!?

A roaster can check the progress of the roast by removing small samples and checking bean color. To be honest, I believe there's more to it than that, but I'll have to ask next time I'm taking pictures. :)

Noble Three

Jared and Caleb survey the work to be done in December.

Garage roasting no more... the Probat has since moved to the cafe location in Ashland.

Noble Pictures two

Beans pour out of the roasting chamber of Noble's Probat, all smoke and the wafting scent of fresh roasted beans.

Jared Rennie and Caleb Peterson examine the fresh batch of beans, testing for quality and removing any inferior beans.

A shiny new afterburner sits in the half-renovated roasting room at Noble's new location in Ashland.

Noble Coffee Series # 1

Exciting news! I'm doing a series of pictures about Noble Coffee Roasting's move from roasting coffee in the garage to opening a cafe and roaster in Ashland!
Some of the pictures should be accompanying an article by James di Properzzio in Fresh Cup magazine in the spring. In the meantime, I'll be editing and uploading some of my favorites.

Coffee enthusiast and partial-owner of Noble Caleb Peterson talks about plans for the under-construction cafe.

Jared Rennie, the creator of Noble Coffee Roasting, and Peterson enjoy a cup of jo amidst the construction.
